Michael Jackson’s children made their first public appearance at Sunday’s Grammy Awards since the memorial service to honor their late father. Prince Michael, Paris, and Blanket were last seen in July 2009, just weeks after their famous father died.

At the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards, Jackson»s two older children took the stage to accept a posthumous Lifetime Achievement Award in honor of their father. Prince Michael and Paris each gave an emotionally-charged acceptance speech.

Prince Michael spoke first, first thanking God for watching over him and his siblings «over the past 7 months.» Prince»s voice broke up as he thanked Michael Jackson fans saying his father «loved you so much.» He wrapped up his acceptance speech promising he, his sister, and brother will continue to spread their father»s message and help the world.

Paris stepped up to the microphone next, surrounded by a group of cousins. She spoke more simply telling
the audience, who was on their feet, «Daddy was supposed to be here he was going to perform, but he couldn’t perform last year. Thank you. We love you, Daddy.» Michael Jackson’s youngest son, Blanket, did not take the stage and was not seen in the audience.

The Jackson kids were reportedly asked by Grammy producers to take part in the much-anticipated 3-D Grammy tribute to the late Michael Jackson. While they opted not to, they were clearly moved by how the music industry»s biggest and most influential stars remembered their beloved father.
